I found this picture in a Dubai Daily yesterday, showing Princess Haya of Jordan, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Defence Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

A Muslim was seated next to an Australian on a Qantas flight from London to Melbourne. After the plane was airborne, drink orders were taken. The Aussie asked for a rum and coke, which was brought and placed before him.
The flight attendant then asked the Muslim if he would like a drink. He replied in disgust, "I’d rather be savagely raped by a dozen whores than let liquor touch my lips."
The Aussie then handed his drink back to the attendant and said, "Me too. I didn’t know we had a choice."

Today the peak temperature in Germany reached 37 Celsius, which was the hottest so far this year.
At the same time the peak in Dubai reached 35 Celsius only. The clouds which cooled down the city are left overs of cyclone Gonu which hit the region the last two days.

Smokers banned in Dubai
Dubai will soon ban smoking in all public places. The decision was taken by the Dubai Executive Council during its meeting on Monday.
The move is also part of Dubai Municipality’s Strategic Plan for 2007-2011, which lays down critical objectives in 14 key strategic areas, including public health and safety.
